Thomas Rekart and Scott Ray Join TriZetto as Company Continues to Expand World-Class Healthcare Services Organization

DENVER, Colo.- December 14, 2011The TriZetto Group, Inc. today announced that it has added further depth to its leadership ranks, naming Thomas Rekart senior vice president of business management services and Scott Ray senior vice president of application management services. Rekart will direct a global team that offers cost-effective onshore, offshore and blended staffing models that support healthcare information business processes, including front-end services, claims processing, enrollment, configuration and billing. Ray leads a team that provides healthcare organizations with a full complement of application hosting services – infrastructure, connectivity, delivery, data and security – as well as comprehensive application management, remote application management and lifecycle services.

Beyond the numbers, Rekart and Ray see another, very strategic reason for healthcare payer and provider organizations to outsource the day-to-day management of information systems and administrative functions. They say outsourcing allows healthcare organizations to focus in-house resources on their core businesses and on meeting new challenges brought by healthcare reform – specifically, emerging models of care delivery, payment and distribution, and a growing consumer/retail market. Rekart brings some 20 years of healthcare industry experience both in the payer and provider markets. As executive vice president and East region president, he helped integrate the people, processes and technologies of Bravo Health into the HealthSpring organization. Rekart also served as executive vice president and chief operations officer at HealthSpring/BravoHealth and, earlier in his career, held executive leadership positions at UnitedHealth Group, UnitedHealthcare, CareFirst and Humana.

Ray was previously vice president of global operations for SunGard Availability Services, where he led the successful operational launch of SunGard’s Enterprise Cloud Services and drove significant improvement in uptime across 35 data centers in North America. At Inflow, Inc., a managed service data center provider acquired by SunGard, Ray was part of the leadership team that achieved 9.0 out of 10 in customer satisfaction for five years in a row. He served in increasing levels of responsibility in operations, sales, product engineering and product development.
