NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - Sept. 8, 2008 - Jeff Margolis, chairman and chief executive officer of the TriZetto Group, Inc., today announced that Tony Bellomo has been promoted and appointed president of TriZetto. With the completion of TriZetto's acquisition by Apax Partners, president and chief operating officer Kathleen Earley is leaving to pursue new opportunities. Bellomo's appointment will be effective Oct. 1, 2008, and Kathleen Earley will remain until then to facilitate the transition.

Bellomo, 54, has been an executive officer at TriZetto since October 2000, when Erisco Managed Care Technologies was acquired from IMS Health. During his eight years at TriZetto, Bellomo has led much of the company's product development, most recently as executive vice president of product management company-wide. As the former president of Erisco, Bellomo spearheaded the development and launch of the Facets® core administration system and served several years as a division president and in virtually every capacity from development to marketing. Bellomo graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in systems engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York.
