NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – October 23, 2006 – The TriZetto Group Inc. (Nasdaq: TZIX) today announced the appointment of Gene Drabinski as president of its Cost & Quality of Care business unit. Drabinski will oversee TriZetto's care management products and services, which help health plans better manage medical costs while delivering the highest quality care.

Before joining TriZetto, Drabinski served as president and chief operating officer of Healthwise, a top supplier of consumer health content. There, he led the sales, marketing, product development, and distribution operations. Under Drabinski's leadership, Healthwise extended its market leadership as a major content supplier to consumer portals.

Before his tenure at Healthwise, Drabinski held executive positions at PacifiCare Health Systems and PayLess Drug Stores. A registered nurse, he began his clinical career with the Veterans' Administration. As director of the Cardio/Pulmonary Rehabilitation unit at West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell, Idaho, Drabinski designed and implemented the first cardiac rehabilitation program in the state. He earned his bachelor's degree from California State University in Los Angeles, and received his nursing training from Boise State University. He also attended the Graduate School of Public and Community Health at the University of Washington. He will be based in TriZetto's Boston office.
