NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – June 21, 2005 – The TriZetto Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: TZIX) announced today that Dr. Robert London has joined the company in the newly created position of chief clinical officer. "Historically, TriZetto's strength has been in addressing the administrative portion of a payer's expense structure," said TriZetto President and Chief Operating Officer, Kathleen Earley. "But, there are incredible technology challenges to be addressed in managing the price and quality of care that make up the other 85 percent of our customers' costs. In 2004, we introduced several robust new care management solutions. Now, with the creation of a chief clinical officer role, Bob London will focus on further expanding TriZetto's capabilities to help our customers deliver the highest quality care at the most competitive costs."

Dr. London brings to the role nearly 30 years of clinical, academic, medical and administrative healthcare expertise. Previously he was vice president of healthcare management for the western region of Wellpoint (formerly Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield). Dr. London also served as a unit chief executive officer and corporate chief medical officer for CNA Insurance Company, and as chief operating officer and chief medical officer for United Healthcare of the Mid-Atlantic, Inc. He practiced clinical obstetrics and gynecology in addition to holding various administrative positions in the Johns Hopkins Health System. He has received numerous awards for professional achievement and has authored an extensive list of medical publications. Currently he is on the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore as well as the University of Colorado executive MBA program.

Dr. London will be based in TriZetto's Greenwood Village, Colo. facility. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Washington University and an M.D. from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American College of Nutrition, and holds medical licenses in Maryland and Colorado.
